Is SIL right for you?
Who SIL is for
- People who need a high level of support at home all the time, such as help with personal care, meals or cleaning.
- People who need more than 8 hours a day of active support, plus supervision or support for the remaining hours.
- People living on their own, or sharing a home with other NDIS participants.
Need less support than this? Assistance with Daily Life may be a better fit, and we can help you work out which option suits you.
Good to know
What SIL doesn’t cover
- Everyday living costs like rent, board, groceries, utilities, phone, internet and vehicle costs.
- The cost of the home itself. SIL funds your support workers, not your housing.
- Health supports such as nursing, medical and palliative care, or personal care while you’re in hospital.
- Non‑disability supports such as budgeting, paying bills and holiday costs.
